Recently, I’ve been investing a lot on my skin and trying new products that are more on the organic and cruelty-free side. It’s been also a thing to have a brighter skin for promoting youthfulness and glow to the skin. I make sure to research first to know if its worth to buy or not and I found out that one of the effective ingredient for brightening is rice.
Rice is full of vitamins, minerals and amino acids that are mostly used in Asian skin regime. It’s even known to be used for centuries for brightening, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging. Since then, many beauty products were introduced with using it as the main ingredient.
The SKINFOOD Rice Wash Off Mask is one of those highly raved Korean skincare in line with other Skinfood scrub/masks. It is said best suited for people who are looking for products with brightening effect (Not whitening). After seeing a lot of good reviews about it, I decided to get one and see for my self if my skin will like it or not. I got my two consecutive purchase from my Althea boxes and since then, I’ve been using them religiously.
A wash-off mask that transforms skin int a pure and soft texture, and contains rice bran water.
After cleansing, gently massage with ample amount over dry face avoiding eyes and mouth area. Concentrate around nose area and repeat it using grains. Rinse with lukewarm water after 10 to 15 minutes of massage.
Net Weight: 100g
I use this every other day mostly when I know that I need a smooth canvass for makeup base or for just a radiany bare face. Before going to the showers I put a fair layer on my face and leave it as I clean myself. Approximately it takes 15 minutes for the formula to sink in to my skin then I’ll scrub the remaining bits which I believe are the rice particles to remove the dry skin and dirt.
After using this the first time, I saw a glowy result on my skin. And one tub can last me for 2 – 3 months. Take note it’s not a whitening product but a brightening one so don’t expect you’ll get lighter skin at an instant.
