“It’s never too early to start using anti-aging products.”
You don’t want to wake up one morning and tell in front of a mirror that it’s too late. And more adequate, we don’t want to spend too much money because we neglected to take care of our skin.
Women my age are either afraid to use or felt age defense products are unnecessary for current skin issues especially when in early 20s. Its a fad! More and more research are showing that the younger you use preventive products, the more you will obviate the need of desperate age killing surgeries and harsh concentrated products.
Like me, I always want to look the best infront of my husband even without makeup so today, I’ll share with you my positive review on Clinique’s version of anti-aging moisturizer. I must admit, at first I was sceptical because its an ANTI-AGING CREME which automatically translates to heavy, greasy and overly priced product. I was supposed to hand it over to my mom but upon trying, it changed my perspective on creme products. Good thing I gave it a try. I used almost half of it, so I think my experience with this products is enough to give my overall perspective.
DISCLAIMER: I am not a skin expert. What works for me might not work for you. Its still best to personally know your skin. Clinique has their residential dermatologist. I suggest to consult to determine which products suit your needs.
HOW I USE IT
I don’t use this in my morning routine as it is said marketed as a night cream. I simply use it every night as my last regimen since I use Clinique’s gel moisturizer to avoid pore clogs when I layer sunscreen and makeup at daytime. But sometimes if my skin felt dry, I put it on needed areas.
A+ for the overall packaging!
It comes in a silver, reflective box including what the products is and all the important information you would likento knownupon seeing just the box. Then it comes with the actual product and a manual with different languages (shown on the claims.)
As of the product packaging, you could already feel the worth of money you put in it. It’s heavy, and the material is luxurious with a very clean design. Its also silver matching the box with a reflective cap. There’s really something about silver with reflective details that makes it so expensive. It reminds me of the JP pomegranate peel mask I reviewed before but the shape is simply cylindrical.
I’d accentuate the lid of this product. Kudos to Clinique for putting into mind the lid coz most of the moisturizers I have with this kind of packaging gas this annoying lid that is just so hard to grasp. The only thing that is missing is the spatula. Well, products like this doesn’t really have spatula but most products nowadays comes with this for sanitary purposes. You simply don’t want to dip my hands in it especially unwashed.
Also, the only thing with products in a heavy jar is that you need to be very careful not to drop it or else… And its obviously not travel-friendly.
I honestly don’t think I could buy this one for its price beacuse I personally think I could buy so much already from this amount. It costs 4,000 PHP which is reasonable for the product you pay. Knowing its Clinique, an anti-aging and a cream product, you expect it to be this expensive.
If you’re a Korean skincare lover like me, of course you’ll automatically say its so expensive and the price is either higher or same as their high-end brands like Sulwhasoo, Hera, Su;um or Belif. But its a high-end brand and just think of this, compared to other western brands, its already low compared to Estee Lauder or Clarins or Bobbie Brown, etc.
Stocks is on the positive side but its not that accesibile. Clinique products are available in the Philippines through Rustan’s stores or through direct Clinique stores but I believe there’s not much Clinique Stores especially in South, only in Metro Manila area. If you’re from Lagunalike me, the only choice is to go to the nearest place which is Alabang or just order online.
I find the texture luxurious and smooth and it absorbs without greasiness. Knowing my skin is oily-combination, it still soaks in nicely without feeling to heavy and pasty. It’s not stark white, its actually translucent when applied.
This is the home-run queen! I like that it is a multi-tasking product: moisturizer, sunscreen and anti-ager in one. It’s not often you find a moisturizer that only keeps you hydrated, but help diminish fine lines, wrinkles and all over complexion. I’m only in my early 20s but I could see lines on my eyes peaking through already and that’s a worry I struggle. Good thing more and more products are coming with effective ingredients to at least lessen the change my skin is experiencing over time.
This exceeded my expectations. I like it better than many other similar more expensive products that I have tried because it is very moisturizing but not greasy. It has made my skin so much smooth and softer. My pores got smaller, and my fine lines around my eyes reduced. Home-run Clinique!
