Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

On a daily grind, its a must that there’s a ready to go or what I call ‘SOS’ moisturizer sitting somewhere in your vanity corner just in case you don’t have enough time to prep your face. I must admit that there are days that I can’t put all the skincare products I usually say to you guys. I don’t actually follow the Korean 7 Skincare Step, I only have 3 or 4…if I have time. But in reality, I can’t keep up every single day especially that I have an infant to prep first before myself.

Together with the Clinique Smart Night Cream, my boyfriend bought this for me. I’ve been seeing YouTubers rave about this or when I watch a movie, this will appear on the actress’ vanity corner or I’ll just see it on malls, etc.  Its so hype that I’ve been wanting to have my own but I think it’s kinda pricy for just a moisturizer. But like the night cream, good thing I tried it out.

The more you make your skin avoid moisture the more you are prone to acne and its a MUST! to moisturize even if you are oily. One good tip is to find a moisturizing gel like this that could hydrate but won’t leave your face extra greasy.

Its quite expensive for just a moisturizer. Take note its a plain moisturizer without any special ingredients that makes it different from other hydrating moisturizers. The only positive attribute of the product was that its big unlike others who comes in jars. But other than that, I think there are much better products with cheaper price.

The packaging is simple and hygenic. Like the previous review I did for Clinique Smart Cream, it also comes in a box but this one comes in a light green with also reflective writtings on it. It includes the product itself and a small booklet that comes in different languages with all the instructions and background of the product.

Talk about the product itself, I mentioned earlier that it is simple and hygenic. Why? The design itself is just so clean with all the necessary details written on it. You just know how Clinique well package their products aligning it to their brand. On the other hand, its hygenic because it comes in a pump container than a jar where you need  to dip your fingers or spatula. You can easily control of amount it dispense since it doesn’t pump large amount at a time. Its enough to my liking. The container is made of sturdy plastic so it’s travel friendly and you won’t feel scared it it drops on the floor in the midst of a hectic morning.

The formula is very light and silky on the skin. It does not contain any oils or heavy thickening agents and is fragrance-free. It is appropriate for any of skin even though it is categorized for oily-combination skin. The only issue we have with the product is its meager antioxidant content (most of which function best as anti-irritants). Most of Clinique’s moisturizers are brimming with state-of-the-art ingredients, but this one, though certainly effective for its intended skin types, is plain by comparison.

I have only been using this product for about 4 weeks and the difference in my skin is so drastic. I have very dry skin and especially with harsh winters in WI my skin becomes so dry I would have to lather my face 3 times a day with lotion. I have used MANY name brand face lotions/creams and have not had any luck except this and the Clinique Smart Night Cream. I have finally found the go to face lotion for my skin.

This lotion is more or a gel/watery product than other face lotions/moisturizers. However, it absorbs into your skin and truly hydrates the face. With only one full pump in the morning, my face has cleared up and kicked the dry patches away.

I have very oily skin! Like really oily, but also kind of combination because my cheek can get quite dry without adequate moisturizing. This moisturizer absorbs very quickly while hydrating my skin without leaving any oily film on the skin. Great for daytime use and I use it at night as well. There are a few other products for oily skin out there that I tried, and I do not like it when the product gets absorbed too quickly but leaves a drying effect on your skin. This product does not! I used a different moisturizer for my skin that I really liked, but has switched to this product because of the great value for an amazing product.

I recommend buying the smaller bottle first before purchasing the larger one. As with many other products, you want to be sure your face doesn’t react differently.
