Becca × Chrissy Teigen Palette Review

Bel signing in!

Its been a while since I made a makeup review since I’m not really fond of doing full glam looks. But I’m gonna step up a little bit for you guys since some of you prefer makeup reviews more than skincare.

DISCLAIMER: This is not sponsored. I bought the product for personal use. I am no beauty expert and all I’ve written here were based on my honest experience. I am not sugar coating anything for the brand’s sake or whatsoever. I purposely didn’t edit the photos and put filters so that you guys could see how it would look in the camera without exaggerating.

I was browsing wordpress a few weeks ago when I saw @heyitsmeroseanne’s Sephora Haul Blog. I had been seeing thru online a lot of this product being sold in a very low price and I found out from Roseanne that it was available at Sephora before for only 307.50 PHP/$7. So I immediately checked the website and was sure to get it. I wasn’t able to pick it up with that price but I’m still lucky to get it for 1,300 PHP/$26.

I wasn’t sceptical to grab the palette since Becca is known for having a splendid highlighter palettes like Jaclyn Hill’s. I’ve been planning to get one anyway since Becca fist came out but it’s kinda expensive so I was lucky to get the deal.

Chrissy Teigen is BECCA’s all – time favorite #GirlCrush and captures the essence of what BECCA stands for: effortless, natural, authentic beauty. Together, they’ve cooked up the most beautiful face palette full of warm, lush, sultry shades of highlighter, blush and bronzer all hand – picked by Chrissy.
Each shade in this limited – edition palette features BECCA’s iconic, one-of-a-kind formula that blends pigments with liquids to create an unparalleled, creamy feel that applies like seamless silk and never cakes. Mix, layer and blend to create your perfect summer glow.

  • Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Beach Nectar (brand – new, exclusive, juicy apricot shade infused with gold) (0.18 oz)
  • Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Rose Gold (Chrissy’s favorite subtle gold infused with sweet rose) (0.18 oz)
  • Sunlit Bronzer in Malibu Soleil (medium amber evokes a dreamy “all day at the beach” tan, with a soft splash of light so skin looks kissed by the sun) (0.085 oz)
  • Luminous Blush in Hibiscus Bloom (new, limited – edition delectable, golden pink coral) (0.085 oz)

Packaging is divine! It has a rose gold and pink color scheme and a marble theme that is very modern. It suits Chrissy and the product itself.

It is properly boxed and it includes a booklet and sample primer. And if you are meticulous like me with the packagings, you’ll know from the heaviness and the design that the materials used were high quality. This is the type of product you want to buy because of the packaging.

REFERENCE: I have a light olive skintone and I usually use shade 23 for korean foundations.

I believe this is marketed for women with medium skintone but I honestly think thos could also work for pale and dark skin. It just depends on how you would like to build it up. As you can see, I also used it as an eyeshadow and the shades are very versatile.

Its is buttery but not to the extent that it’s like a cream. Its a perfect balance of powdery and soft but not too much like Colourpop pots. They aren’t blotchy and they blend evenly. I tried using my fingers and brushes and both came out nice. Though of course, color payout shows more with fingers (applicable when using as eyeshadow).

Fallouts are not bad. I guess it just depends on the brush you use. Soft bristled brush works well and I didn’t have any problems with it.

Product Amount

The sizing is a little odd. I know highlighter is such a hit today but if you’ll think about it, your face uses up bronzer/contour more so the ratio seems off for me. The two highlighters get to be the big ones while the blush and bronzer were sized down.

I got this at Sephora as what I mentioned 1,300 PHP and some lucky ones got theirs for 300+ PHP. Ok other words, its a great deal considering the quality, the brand and the amount you could get from it.

Overall, I’m happy with what I purchased. Its a good investment though I won’t recommend for you to get this if you have the Jaclyn Hill Palette since its kinda redundant even if we say the shades are different. Its absolutely now a must have for my special occasion looks.
