It’s that time of the month again to share what this month’s favorites and fails. This month I used up a couple of items ranging from skincare to bodycare. Probably I’ll this will be my last Empties and I’ll bulk up all my finished items again and post it at the last months of the year so I can start up with ‘Monthly Favorites and Fails’ that are not based on Empties.
Clean & Clear (Clear Fairness Cleanser)
I usually use gel cleansers but I started using up again foam forms as they get rid of excess sebum and it’s just satisfying with all the thick bubbles. It felt more effective and I personally think, this is better at cleaning compared to gel ones but of course, this will depend on your skin condition. It has small particles which reminds me of my favorite Skinfood Rice Mask Wash Off. It’s not totally the same but it has the same vibes of particles. These bits of particles are not harsh or to hard on the skin which I liked. Overall, I recommend this but I might not repurchase it for a while since I still have a lot of new foam cleansers to finish up.
This one was trending during my college years. It’s a Thailand product and from its name, it is made out of snail slime. It is one of the 1st hyped up products that consists of slime. Snail white promises to give you skin repair while whitening the complexion. It nourished my skin but I must admit, it’s not that comfy at first. It’s sticky and of course slimy. But it’s effective as of hydrating and absorbing nourishment to my skin. I’m just not sure about the whitening part.
St. Ives Apricot Scrum (Blemish Control)
I used to like this the first time I used it but as I got more aware of other face scrub products, this is just harsh later on to my skin. The beads are too big and rough and it hurts even if I scrub it with gentle motions. I prefer the grapefruit (whitening) version as it has finer beads which I could say is a dupe of my favorite Clinique Face Scrub.
It’s Skin Vitamin C Effector Serum
This was very hyped due to it’s price but to be honest, it didn’t seem to be effective on my skin. This is actually the first Vitamin C derivative I have but it didn’t lived up to my expectations. I just used this up hoping there’ll be long term effects. Although, it is light and good for hydrating and moisturizing the skin.
Olay Moisturizing Lotion
I am not a fan of Olay despite its affordability and accessibility. So far, none of what I tried were good enough for me to finish their products. This one is just so heavy and sticky. It’s a type of face lotion where you could really feel there’s something on your face. Maybe this will be effective to dry skin people but I don’t recommend this for oily skin gals.
Estee Lauder Lipstick
This was a very old lipstick and for me, it’s a classic. It is metallic, orange-brown that just makes any look sophisticated. I am not a lipstick person but when I need to amp up a little, I used this.
Revlon Lip Gloss
I remember loving this so much. The shade is a healthy looking nude making your lips glossy and natural. It’s not super sheer like other lipgloss and I like this one because it doesn’t have glitters. The only downside about this is that it’s a little heavy and sticky to the feeling.
Flomar Illuminating Primer Make-up Base
I forgot exactly it’s price but for what I remember I got this for a very affordable price due to Sale. Anyway, I don’t hate or love this product. It’s just in between. I’m not sure if it really is illuminating coz whenever I use this, i use a natural-dewy foundation of cushion product. But it helps on moisturizing and prepping my face. The overly downside of this is that it smells like strong chemical. I can’t explain the smell but it’s really that strong. Again, I just used it up for the sake of not wasting the money I purchased for this.
Lancome La Vie Est Belle
I don’t know how to start. This is my baby, my all time signature scent side by side with my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. And guess what?! This is my 4th bottle since I 2014 (oh college years). Whenever I use this, people always ask me what perfume I use and that it smells sexy and sophisticated at the same time. If I were to be a perfume, this is definitely I’m going to be. It’s perfect for women of 20s and 30s. Definitely a show stopper with it’s Vanilla-Floral-Sweet scent. Definitely a must try!
Dove deodorant (Fresh Cucumber & Green Tea)
This line is the bomb! I forgot how much I loved this one not until I try using it this month again. It smells so good! I love using this when I’m in the gym especially. It last the whole day and I don’t need to worry being stinky or wet.
PH Care Feminine Wash (Cool Wind with Active Cool)
I never used any feminine wash since I was introduced to this when I was in High School. The consistency is not too liquidy unlike other soaps and it feels so good for sure because of the cooling properties. Plus it smells fresh! Definitely a girl/women’s BFF.
That ends my blog. It’s a little short but I hope you had fun reading it.
So long for now and I hope you tune in for my next blog 🙂
