The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA Reviewed

If you’ve been consistently reading my blogs, it’s not new that I’ve been investing for quite some time already on anti-aging products. I’m at my mid-20s but I want to step it up already since my fine lines are already showing on my eye area. I’m not afraid of aging, I just want to prolong my skin’s youth and be at my best.

So I’m here to share one of my favourite anti-aging products and definitely one of my must try item to you guys. It’s cheap and just so beautiful on the skin that every drop is worth a penny.

Ingredients
Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Ethoxydiglycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin

Directions

Apply a few drops to face AM and PM. For maximum benefits, please alternate use between peptides, Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid and Ethylated Ascorbic Acid) and Direct Acids.

MY PERSONAL WAY TO USE:
– use preferably at night
– After essence and before oils or creams
– Can be layered up to 3 layers depending on personal needs

Matrixyl is highly known as an anti-aging ingredient and we usually see this on products that are geared towards anti-aging/anti-wrinkle/lifting.
3 TYPES USED
– Matrixyl
– Matrixyl 3000
– Matrixyl Synthe 6
All of these 3 are particularly effective together to stimulate the growth of collagen, elastin and naturally occurring hyaluronic acid within our skin that weakens as we age. Sorta what happens when we hit our 30s. Matrixyl will basically strengthen all that, build it up so that our skin could remain youthful longer. This helps refill wrinkles from within the skin so the appearance is less defined.
The usual dosage you can find from products is 2% but this brand gives 10% which actually made me buy it.

PRICE:

I bought it for 600 + PHP. Unfortunately, I forgot how much exactly it is but for the amount and effectivity, it is cheap and very worth it. I usually just dap the applicator and not even use the pump to get the product. A small amount could cover whatever I needed already.

TEXTURE:

This is my favourite texture and spreadability on the skin and out of all my skincare products. It made my skin so plump and the morning after applying just makes so much difference. My skin is so moist and just so smooth and chok chok.

EFFECT:

I have been using this product for a year now, targeting my eye area. I was seeing some wrinkles on my side eyes and I was so desperate to find a solution, so I read up and it seems that Matrixyl is the only proven ingredient to help with this issue. So I would take a tiny amount and put it on my eye area nightly as well as around my mouth/lip/smile line area and then spread it outwards covering my face.

So after a year of use I feel safe to say this is a RIDE OR DIE product. It is a cumulative affect type of product, so if you don’t see a change right away, no worries, just keep going. I really wish I had before and after pictures. For the first time in 2 years I put on liquid eyeliner, something I would never have done before this product as it just made the crepe skin more obvious and that is never the goal. BTW I am 45. – so aging skin is a concern.

I have no words for this brand but just pure love. You heard me rave The Ordinary Vitamin C products and this Matrixyl Product made me want to buy more of the other variants. For the quality and care they put into them, as well as providing affordable price. Thank you TO, you saved my eyes! 😊
